CWE Logins

Who should register for a CWE account?

Active members or a CCSDS Working Group, Area Directors, and Management Council Members should all have CWE Logins.  Individuals who  wish to attend CCSDS Meetings are also required to have CWE Logins.

How to register for a CWE account?

To request a CWE account, you must complete the request form by Clicking Here.  Once you have completed and submitted the form, the CCSDS Secretariat will review the submission and obtain approval from the proper CCSDS Area Director and Working Group Chairs.  This process may take up to 5 business days.

What type of access does my CWE login provide?

A CWE Login allows read only access to all of the Private areas of CCSDS Working Groups where unpublished and draft publications are being developed.  If you are a member of a Working Group, then you will have both read and write access to the Private area of that Working Groups parents CCSDS Area.  Also, a CWE login allows for registration to all CCSDS Technical Meetings.

How long is a CWE password valid?

NASA Security Requirements require all CCSDS CWE users change thier passwords every 60 days with a minimum of 12 character password.  Users receive automated email reminders 14, 7, and 1 day(s) prior to this deadline.  

How do I change my CWE password?

You may change your password at any time using our self-service password tools.   The links to these tools are found on the top bar of every page in the CWE under the Password Management section or by Clicking Here.  Note - You cannot change your password if your password is not due to be changed or has expired.

What happens if I have forgoted my CWE password or it has expired?

If you forgot your password or your password has expired you may obtain a new password using our self-service password tools.  The links to these tools are found on the top bar of every page in the CWE under the "Password Management" section or byClicking Here.  

What is the differnce between Mailman mailing lists subscriptions vs a CWE account?

It is possible to be a member of a CCSDS Working Group Mailing List, but not have a CCSDS CWE Login.  It is also possible to have a CCSDS CWE Login and not be subscribed to a CCSDS Working Group Mailing List.  As a courtesy the CCSDS Secretariat will subscribe an approved CCSDS CWE User to the Working Group Mailing Lists for which they have chosen when requesting a CCSDS CWE Login.  The Working Group Chairs are the administrators of their Working Group’s Mailing Lists, and have the authority to make changes to the Mailing Lists members as they wish.

Where are CCSDS published documents located?

All approved CCSDS Published Documents and Standards can be downloaded for free on the CCSDS.org website in the Publications section or by Clicking Here.

How do I obtain unpublished or draft documents?

Typically Unpublished or Draft Documents are not readily obtainable.  You should contact the Working Group Chair of the book in question.  A list of the Working Group chairs can be obtained by Clicking Here.  If you are not are not sure of which Working Group chair to contact, then you may contact the CCSDS Secretariat
