Description of Document
The experimental report provides an overview about the current activities from JAXA and DLR in order to introduce an intra-satellite and intra-launcher communication architecture for wireless networks using impulse radio ultra wideband. The specification covers the following topics: 1. Ultra wideband specification to be followed by operating systems 2. Interoperability parameters to provide interoperability testing 3. Test scenarios for interoperability testing and evaluation of the proposed technology in a representative environment. The specification will allow using COTS hardware from certified vendors according to the relevant IEEE standards. Moreover, no restriction on key parameters still provides the required flexibility and will support the ongoing research.
