Description of Document	The lowest layer in the SM&C stack is the one that provides the actual message transfer and encoding service for the Message Abstraction Layer (MAL). The MAL formal specification defines the specific services required of the underlying message transfer service in terms of abstract service interfaces with requests, indications, and responses. A technology mapping translates these abstract required services into the capabilities provided in its concrete message transfer service. This book provides the MAL, COM and M&C Service mappitng to CCSDS Space Packet Transport.
