Description of Document	Standard for a security protocol compatible with CCSDS TM, TC and AOS data link protocols. This security protocol will provide symmetric authentication and/or encryption. The Core protocol (build-1) will specifiy the data formats, modes of operation and associated state machines. All management functions (key management, security associations management, monitoring, ...) for this protocol are not part of this core protocol blue book. They will be developped in a second time (build-2) by the same WG (different project), and specified in a protocol extension blue book.
Applicable Patents	There are no patent issues for this technology that are known by the CCSDS community
