Description of Document	Inventory management is a critical function in many aspects of space operations, both in flight and ground segments. On the ground, thousands of controlled components and assemblies are stored in bond rooms across multiple centers and space agencies. These inventories of necessity must be tightly controlled. The Inventory Management and Asset Localization Magenta Book will provide a CCSDS reference document prescribing best practices and recommended protocol standards for accomplishing automated inventory management and asset localization using wireless technologies.
