CCSDS Bundle Protocol Specification released for Agency review

This draft Recommended Standard defines a CCSDS Bundle Protocol based on the Bundle Protocol of RFC 5050, with necessary extensions to support the Delay/Disruption Tolerant Networking (DTN) of space applications.

CCSDS Red Books are technically mature drafts that are released by the CCSDS for formal review by appropriate technical organizations.  The technical contents of Red Books are not stable, and several iterations of a given Red Book may occur in response to comments received during the review process.

Review participation is generally limited to organizations affiliated with CCSDS (See Participation), although individual CCSDS review coordinators have the discretion to accept review comments from unaffiliated organizations/individuals.

Implementers are cautioned not to fabricate any final equipment in accordance with a Red Book's technical content.
