CCSDS Cryptographic Algorithms released for Agency review

This draft Recommended Standard provides the basis for standard CCSDS security algorithms. The document recommends a single symmetric block-cipher encryption algorithm and several authentication algorithms.

CCSDS Red Books are technically mature drafts that are released by the CCSDS for formal review by appropriate technical organizations.  The technical contents of Red Books are not stable, and several iterations of a given Red Book may occur in response to comments received during the review process.

Review participation is generally limited to organizations affiliated with CCSDS (See Participation), although individual CCSDS review coordinators have the discretion to accept review comments from unaffiliated organizations/individuals.

Implementers are cautioned not to fabricate any final equipment in accordance with a Red Book's technical content.
