Overview
Project Title
Schedule-Aware Bundle Routing (was Contact Graph Routing) for CCSDS
Approval
Approved
Document Number
734.3
Charter
6.09 Delay Tolerant Networking Working Group
Document Type
Blue
Description of Document
This document will define the forwarding rules for a schedule-aware routing algorithm (nominally based on Contact Graph Routing, CGR). The input to such an algorithm is expected to be the set of future communications opportunities in the network, and a DTN bundle to forward. The output will be the set of next hop link(s) over which to forward the bundle. This requires standardization in order to ensure that all nodes using this routing / forwarding algorithm make consistent forwarding decisions to get bundles to their destinations. This is a placeholder project; resources have NOT YET been identified and a CMC poll has NOT YET been requested.
